Catering and Kitchen Rental

The Emerging Technology Complex offers a variety of options for both food and beverages. We use local caterers for all of our events, and services can be customized to your individual needs.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
A simple continental breakfast, a hearty lunch buffet, or a refreshing afternoon snack can put your guests in the right frame of mind. Allowing us to coordinate these services provides you with peace of mind and time to work on other important tasks. If you prefer to organize those details yourself, we simply ask that your caterer complete our Catering Agreement to comply with our guidelines and certified catering kitchen.

BEVERAGE SERVICE
Our beverage service keeps your guests satisfied with beverage options like chilled water, coffee, iced tea, or sodas. Choose continuous service and we'll check it every two hours, topping it off when necessary. You never have to worry about running out - we've got you covered! Request our Coffee Bar Upgrade and we'll include hot cocoa, gourmet coffee syrups, and a selection of hot teas.

ADULT BEVERAGES
Victoria College allows beer and wine to be served at the Conference & Education Center.  A REQUEST TO SERVE ALCOHOL is required and due to your event coordinator before any alcohol service can be incorporated into your event plan.  Our preferred partner for these services is the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts, owned and managed by Victoria College and holder of the College's TABC license. Each establishment provides certified and insured service personnel and offers a wide variety of beer and wine options to complement your event and menu. For more information, please contact our event services staff.

Catering Partner Guidelines

The Emerging Technology Complex's catering kitchen is permitted by the Victoria County Health Department. Use of the kitchen requires that caterers be licensed and insured. The facility maintains an Approved Caterer list of local caterers who have already submitted their documentation to work onsite. If a client chooses to self-organize catering through another vendor, please know that the caterer must complete the Catering Agreement and provide the appropriate documentation to be allowed to work onsite.

To see a current list of current approved caterers or to become an Approved Caterer, please reach out to the Complex directly.

Clients may have food delivered from local restaurant establishments, but all food served onsite must be either pre-packaged or provided by a licensed, insured kitchen.  A nominal fee per person is charged for the additional resources required when food and beverages are arranged by the client, as well as rental fees for all service spaces used.
